Oh, O'Reilly...

I like and respect Bill O'Reilly.  I've been a faithful viewer of his since 9/11.  I just get the feeling, the vibe, that he's simply wishy-washy on certain issues.  Especially the President.  Bill constantly plays the Devil's advocate to his guests and many times does it too well.  He is fair.  But, there comes a point when it seems as though the one being "fair" is actually blind.  Yes, it makes me think of Lady Justice herself standing with her scales and blindfold.

I remember back in 2008, the year of the financial meltdown.  Bill apologized for not "watching" the people in power closer and keeping an eye out for the folks.  Well, I found it funny that the very thing that Bill touted as a plus for the Bush administration, i.e. black family home ownership, seems to have been the main cause for the crisis.  And, now Bill is hung up on whether or not President Obama is a socialist.  He asks all his guests this.  And, for someone who acts like he knows a lot, he consistantly uses the term "I don't know," when it comes to what the President's plans and intentions are.  As the great philosopher once said, "If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, I don't have to ask if it is a duck."  Does Mr. Obama have a tee shirt that says, "I'm with KARL?"  Or, carry a "Up with Socialism card?"  No.  Will he say he's a socialist? No.  Why should he?

Again, I just get that wishy-washy feeling from Bill when he challenges Obama.  And, just a side note.  No doubt Bill is jealous of Glenn Beck and it's getting awkward and tiresome when Bill attempts to jab at Beck on the show and make fun of him.  And, Beck may present issues in a goofy way sometimes, but some of the issues are extremely important, and if Bill's "looking out for the folks," he should show some respect to the folks by not making light of certain subjects that Beck has covered. I.e. monetizing the debt and cap and trade.

And, an even further side not.  I wish Bill would stop trying to top Dennis Miller's wit, it's not going to happen Bill.

GLORIOUS IDIOTS

I've never hated a President before.  I don't think I hate President Obama, just severely dislike.  I've never given it so much thought before because Presidents have not really affected my life directly.  Now, like most American's, who, as they grow older become more realistic, hence more conservative and more conscious that this Congress and this President are going to affect us more than any other in history.  Affect "us," being working Americans who would like to maintain their level of living and prayerfully, greater success for our children.

This dislike, is due to the President's unbounded hubris, his blind liberal ideals, and his false courage in carrying out his liberal aspirations for the country.  To come out in front of the press yesterday with all the hapless senators by his side and say that this bill, which hasn't been seen by anyone is in fact good and deficit neutral is like the President arguing that water isn't wet.  From his view he believes the water is ice and solid therefore, not wet.  And, he continues to demonize the insurance companies, saying rates will continue to rise and they will put more cost onto their customers.  What is the difference between insurance companies raising the price of premiums or the government raising premiums.

And, why do the Democraps (intentional misspelling) tout the greatness of the rest of the socialized medicine around the world and yet do not acknowledge that tort reform was part of their system.

These Senators stand there acting as though they are accomplishing something so great for the American people.  Please someone ask the question, "Hey President, what if this doesn't work? What if the complete overhaul is too much, too quickly and people see premiums rise, care suck and rationing spread throughout.  Are you prepared to go the other direction of doing away with the interstate commerce clause and allowing freedom of choice across state line and tort reform?"  Alas, no one will ask, and he'd just gloss over the question anyway with that gleaming strong B+ smile.

If this bill passes the way they want it and our only hope is 2010 then we are in trouble.  This President is blissfully ignorant of what he is doing to this country.

What Nerve!

I just saw the President, in front of a crowd call for lender to start lending again.  He said, "The American people were there to help you out, now it's time you help them out."

I'm sorry, isn't this quite similar to how this mess started.  A government entity spurring private financial institutions to lend money to possibly and most likely bad investments.  You know, Fanny and Freddy.  There was an article in the NY Times in 2001 that argued that the current lending practices by Fanny and Freddy that were being offered would not be detrimental to the economy as a whole provided the economy was healthy.  However, when the cycle of recession comes around again it would have a devastating effect, and here we are.

Coupled with calling the banks, in essence, to give the people back their money in the form of loans, the President had his Job Summit this past week.  How damn condescending of him to promulgate this visage as a great listener, thinker and deliberator.  He brought Unions and Corporate leaders together, wasn't that nice.  They have similar interests and goals, don't they?  And when someone had the gaul to bring up tax cuts, Obama had the audacity to bring up the deficit.  I'm sorry, when I was a little boy and dreamed of finding a genie in a bottle and having three wishes, I would have asked for no more school, a mongoose bicycle and a million dollars.  This President spent 3.8 TRILLION last year.   Not even when astronomers speak of stars and galaxies do they use the word trillion.

I am truly disgusted with this man.  He has surrounded himself with liberal people that would like nothing better than to suck the life and money from where ever they may extract it from.  What nerve!

As Crazy as the Left?

Through 8 years of George W. Bush the right suffered the madness of the left and their true religion of believing George Bush was the devil, or Hitler or just plain stupid.  Well, a combination of the three.  And, as I listen to our President a this present and hopefully short period of time, Barack Obama, I feel myself growing as hateful as I derided the left as being for those 8 years.  I tried to see their side of it.  Was Bush evil?  Hitler?  Stupid?  I could only see evidence of maybe one of these.  You guess.

He did lead us to an "unnecessary" war in Iraq.  At least that is what hind site taught us.  I seem to remember only two Senators voting against the war.  I seem to remember how we felt as a nation after that day in September, you know the ATTACKS, not the tragedy.  I seem to still remember the ATTACKS on our mail system with anthrax.  And, after these years of war in Iraq, the 4k plus lives and 100's of billions, I still can't find Bush guilty of evil or even lies.  Maybe, irresponsible, maybe even a little dove-ish and even stupid in the prosecution of the war, but not evil.

So, is Obama evil?  In my pretense and title of this article I thought that I was coming to feel maybe I had the same hatred the left had for Bush, only directed at Obama.  Maybe.  And, maybe it's growing.  And, maybe not hatred, just strong dislike.  Disdain.  And, I analyze this each time I see or hear him speak.  I ask myself, "Is it rascist?  Is it because he's black?"  Suprisingly it is part of it.  Now, before I am stoned as a rascist, allow me to explain.  I don't dislike President Obama for being black, er, half black.  I do despise the fact that he was elected partially because he was black.  So many black people I know felt they were compelled to vote for him simply for that reason.  And, if I were black I might have done the same.  Even though I think politics comes before race.  Meaning: if a black Republican ran for President, blacks would take the democrat over him, or her.

Why the hatred?  Well, I actually fear Obama.  I didn't fear Bush.  Yes, I actually listen to what Glen Beck says, through all the goofy faces, jokes and boiling of frogs, I listen to Beck.  I hope more people will do the same.  I listen to the words that Obama says.  I hear him speak endless platitudes.  He's an empty suit.  Most recently his "JOB SUMMIT" is the epitome of attempting to represent himself as the great listener, deliberator and thinker.  He brought all players to table, wasn't that nice.  Union leaders and business execs.  I'm sure they all have the same goals, right?

The President called this summit for "demonstable" ideas  that would lead to recovery and job growth.  I'm sorry but if these ideas need be demonstrable, shouldn't he or any one of the great minds surrounding him know of these job creating methods.  If Obama were at a dinner table and someone began to choke, he would place his chin on his hand, his elbow on his knee and think, "Hm, what could we do?"  But Mr. President perform the Heimlich maneuver, sir."  Obama: "Oh, that's tired, old."

So, don't employ the most direct relief to the victim.  Sit and deliberate.  The Heimlich for the economy is and will always be tax cuts.  Not, stimulus, tax cuts.

So, Mr. President, the economy is the way it is because you have chosen to listen rather than perform.  The listening is a facade anyway.  He plays the part of the listener, but only truly listens to himself and the like-minded.  I depise him for being an empty suit.  For pretending to care about this country and act as though his plans and vision will make us better.  Cap and Trade and Health Care are what truly scares me and should scare all of us.  I see his cold and callous eyes as he speaks.  What nerve that when someone at this "summit" brought up tax cuts, Obama brought up the deficit.  I'm sorry but even as a child when I would dream of finding a Genie's bottle and rubbing it, I would ask for no more school and maybe a million dollars.  Did you ever think of asking for what the President and Congress spent in 2009, eh-hem, 3.8 Trillion dollars.  I don't even know what that is.  And, he had the audacity to bring up the deficit.  This President is truly blind.  Blinded by his own philosophy and goal of "fundamentaly transforming the United States of America."  And, dammit, I would hate anyone trying to do that.

So, without being morally relative, we on the right are growing to be as crazy as the left was with Bush.  However, with good reason.  And, we are right.  Right?
